Faith In Action started as an inspired thought and then a dream put in me by God. Now manifested after months of thinking about it, talking about it, praying about it and seeing it with my spiritual eyes. Now I take no credit for this because I believe God birthed this in me. I began sharing this with my husband, Michael, first; then a few other people. The more I talked about it the more I thought about it. This was all new to me. I was getting ready to embark on something I knew absolutely nothing about. But, faith to trust God for making it happen kept me going forward. So in July 2016, I designed my backdrop for the segment. Once designed, I ordered that banner and before long it was in hand. I kept praying about it and it just didn't go away. I am completely dependent on God and trust Him for all that I shall need. In my walk with the Lord, I have had the experiences of Him blessing me beyond my own imagination. I have had God answer my prayers suddenly and by and by. All of these answered prayers made the faith I was given a measure of become stronger; more confident in the God I call on. After all, He is Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. In other words, I had to believe God in every situation I was experiencing, that He would provide me with a solution with or without any evidence of the how, when, or where. It is not only believing God can, but believing in the character of God. Hebrews 11:6 teaches us that "without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone that comes to God must believe that He is and a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him." It is my heart's desire to build unity in the Body of Christ and advance the Kingdom of God until Christ is formed in us and we become one. Jesus prayed in John 17:23:I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me (NIV). Faith expresses itself through love (Galatians 5:6). When our faith becomes mature and we love one another, the world will know that we are His disciples (John 13:35). Let's show the world Whose we are and who we are. Faith in Action's mission is to encourage and edify the saints of God by strengthening their faith through so that we go from faith to faith so that righteousness will be revealed. Then God will be praised and glorified. "Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.' 2 Peter 1:2 In God's Hand, Dr. Mary J. Bryant Steps to Help Mature Your Faith:
listening. Romans 10:17 2. Exercise Faith, by doing. 3. Embrace trials. 1st Peter 1:3-9, reveals adversity and hardship creates greater faith 4. Search out others testimonies, hearing how God has acted in another’s life grows faith. 5. Pray. Have a personal relationship with your Creator and listen to hear His voice. 6. Practice obedience. This is the one step the old nature does not want to hear. However, disobeying what God tells us does not allow our Faith to grow. Obedience and having a strong Faith coincide. "Obedience is better than sacrifice." (1 Samuel 15:22). Growth takes time, commitment and dedication. |
